The word creative is defined as having a good imagination or where original ideas came from. The discipline of HR so vast with different areas of opportunity allows for thinking beyond the box. This is where the idea of creativity is applied because the field of HR constantly changes and where new ideas come together. The more original, different and unique the solution is, the more creative you can be with connecting an HR Discipline with a creative solution. This is where the connection lies between Creativity and HR. As a consultant, I always challenge the norm of solutions most companies conform to, and take it further with an idea which pushes the norm and bring in a creative idea- don’t be reactive with recruitment, be pro-active and use social media to find the best talent, not just a database where half the information is possibly out of date. Creative ideas push the norm of conforming and allow you to stand out, be one of those and stand out.
